I have a new favorite restaurant!  I couldn't stop eating because it was soooo good.  The dancer was phenomenal.  I highly recommend it.

Art First moved it's First Friday Opening Reception to Friday, February 12, due to bad weather...and it was a great 2nd friday opening thanks to all who decided to brave the snow and get out and about.  The theme of the show was portraits and within the theme the diversity was impressive.  Quite a few local artists dropped by as well.  It was a party-like atmosphere with lots of laughter.  All in all a great event and phenomenal art. 

Used being snowbound to work on colored pencils using new papers that I haven't really used for colored pencil before.  The textured paper created challenges and a different finished look. 

Saturday was the first time mail wasn't delivered in the last 30 yrs...that's what the news said.  Lucky that we still have power.  Lots of trees down.  Should use this time to clean out clutter; but, mostly have started new colored pencil drawings and played a little in the snow...not much of a winter person.  Funny that I bought winter gear for my girls but don't really have much for me.  I like walking in it for a little bit but mostly like being in sweat pants indoors and looking out the window...kinda sad...my dog, Loki, loves it maybe even more than my family.  Thinking about spring and summer in the middle of a blizzard.
