I was commissioned to do a very small portrait of a friend's favorite stuffed animal from childhood. Here is the subject with his portrait.

Three works from my "Beach Boy" series will be available at the Stafford Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop during the month of February. Celebrate the warmth and memories of summers at the beach. Same Time, Different Place, Acrylic on illustration board. 15x20".  Digging in the Sand, Acrylic on Joss paper. 7 1/2 x 9 1/2".  Skimming into it..., Acrylic on Joss paper. 7 1/2 x 9 1/2".  Work in progress, Acrylic on paper. 11x14". Spending a snow day thinking about the warmth of summer. Love working with the dark shadows and the expressive potential in the movement of water. It will end up with a lot of white and sea foam, I think. Thinking I might make it more of a pattern, but not sure yet.
