My students' show at the Porter Library was a great success. I am very proud of what they accomplished this year! As always, the library is supportive of professional and student artists. It's such a beautiful space to show. My school is on the calendar to show there again in May of next year! It will hopefully be an annual event!
I will be starting a commission as soon as the school year ends and am very much so looking forward to it. I have made plans to sketch and paint with several local artists on the Rappahanock River this summer as well. I am definitely looking forward to that!
The end of a school year is always bittersweet. Saying goodbye to students who will be moving up and on in their journey; and, being thankful to have a career that has a cycle. My job has a beginning, middle, end, and a "to be continued..". The new students who will be there next year will start the cycle again. It's a wonderful thing. It truly is a privledge to be a character in the story of so many children's lives and that they are in mine.
